KNOWLEDGE OCCUPIES A PLACE | Master in Comparative and International Education

The Institute of Education of the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias welcomes the recent approval by A3ES of a new cycle of studies leading to the Master Degree in Comparative and International Education. And because knowledge occupies a place, a new training offer at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias has come to an empty place due to the lack of specialized training in Comparative and International Education (ECI) in Portugal and. Portuguese speaking countries. The ECI is present in the best universities, being an area of ​​study with great tradition in Anglo-Saxon countries. This new master degree has a strongly motivated (and qualified) staff in ECI problems, which will contribute to a relevant formation of a new profile of educational professionals. In this way the Master in Comparative and International Education aims to provide an understanding of the factors that contribute to the development and trajectories of educational systems in different parts of the world, in depth, and promotes in students the research skills necessary to understand, compare and critically evaluate the educational policies and practices that characterize educational processes. Public and private institutions, nongovernmental organizations, international development agencies and multilateral corporations, universities and schools are some examples of potential areas of employment. At the end of the 1st year, the Master degree allows access to the PhD in Education, and the development of the R & D project outlined in the master degree.

The Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias will open this new training offer the next academic year of 2019/2020, with the possibility of courses in English and Spanish.
