CeiED researchers in the EUA Learning & Teaching Thematic Peer Group 2024

CeiED researchers João Filipe Matos and Lucimar Dantas, coordinators of the Research and Learning Community Learning & Innovation, took part in the first meeting of the European University Association Learning & Teaching Thematic Peer Group (EUA-TPG), dedicated to the theme Learning & Teaching to Empower Students, which took place on 27 and 28 March 2024, online. The TPG is made up of representatives from 10 European universities, coordinated by EUA, which selected the members in advance.

During the two-day meeting, the TPG's general working guidelines were presented, as well as the timetable for activities and the Group's expected end result, namely the production of a report that can support European universities with recommendations on the subject of the TPG.

Under the coordination of Kardiff University, UK, the members of the 10 institutions discussed the concept of "empowerment", discussed topics related to the central theme, worked in smaller groups and in the large group to identify challenges related to learning and teaching to empower students, and to indicate possible solutions to these challenges.

The second TPG meeting will be held in person at Kardiff University, UK, on 9 and 10 September 2024.
