Participation of Carlos Smaniotto Costa at the Conference “Smartness? between discourse and practice “
Carlos Smaniotto Costa took part in the 15th AHRA International Conference (Architectural Humanities Research Association) organized by the Department of the Built Environment of the Technical University of Eindhoven / The Netherlands between 15 and 17 November 2018. The theme of the conference was “Smartness” and its implications for building more sustainable and people-centered cities.
Based on the projects of CeiED Cyberparks – Fostering knowledge about the relationship between Information and Communication Technologies and Public Spaces (www.cyberparks-project.eu) and C3Places – using ICT for Co-Creation of Inclusive Public Places (H2020 / JPI UrbanEurope, www.c3places.eu), Carlos Smaniotto organized and presided jointly with Dr Georgios Artopoulos, The Cyprus Institute, Nicosia / Cyprus, the session Accessing Data Analytics: Urban Commons and City Smartness which was very interesting for the participants.
