Clara Craveiro

Clara Craveiro is a Coordinating Professor at the Paula Frassinetti School of Education (ESEPF) in Porto. She has a PhD in Child Studies - specializing in Methodology and Supervision in Early Childhood Education, from the University of Minho. 

She currently teaches Research, Informatics and Education; Interdisciplinary Seminar in Early Childhood Education; Initiation to Professional Practice I; Supervised Teaching Practice; Professional Teacher Development; Design and management of training and improvement projects; Project Work. She is also the Supervisor of Teaching Practice (Internship).

She has extensive experience in managing and coordinating undergraduate courses (for educators and teachers). She is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Master's Degree in Education - specialization in Pedagogical Supervision and Orientation of Professional Practice. She is also a member of the coordination team for the b-learning postgraduate course in Pedagogical Supervision.

She also has experience in participating in scientific and cultural management committees, as well as in strategic planning, through her work as an effective member of the Scientific Council (2007/08) and as a member of the ESEPF Scientific Technical Council (between 2008/09 and 2021/22).

She carries out community extension activities and knowledge transfer by working as a TEIP (Território Educativo de Intervenção Prioritária) external expert and as a consultant for educational institutions. 

She carries out internationalization activities with the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), as a trainer, researcher and a collaborator on projects. 

As far as R&D activities are concerned, she is an integrated researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development (CeiED) . She is also a collaborator researcher at the Observatory of Education and Training Policies (OP. Edu) - a joint creation of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development (CeiED) and the Centre for Social Studies (CES) at the University of Coimbra. She was a member of the ESEPF Education Observatory and a researcher at the Paula Frassinetti Research Center (CIPAF). She was a collaborator researcher on a project at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Educational Studies at ESE de Lisboa (CIED).

She is a member of the Executive Board of the scientific journal Saber & Educar (ESEPF - Portugal) and is a scientific reviewer for different national and international journals. She is also the author of scientific and intervention work in the field of education.
