Maria de Nazaré Castro Coimbra holds a Ph.D. in Education Sciences. She holds a Master's degree in Supervision and Coordination of Education from the Portucalense University (UPP), and a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Literatures from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (U. Porto). Since 2009, she has been teaching seminars in the Master's Program in Education Sciences at the Lusófona University - Oporto University Center.

She is a certified Trainer by the Scientific-Pedagogical Council for Continuous Training (CCPFC) and is part of the Internal Trainer Pool (BFI) of the Matosinhos CFAE. From 1992 to 2009, she served as a Portuguese Internship Supervisor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto (FLUP), overseeing undergraduate, specialization courses, and master's programs in Portuguese teaching.

Currently, she works as a teacher in Secondary Education, a trainer, and an ADD (Teacher Supervision and Evaluation) supervisor, while also teaching part-time at Lusófona University - Oporto University Center. Since 2008, she has been coordinating the "Ler Mais e Escrever Melhor" (PLMEM) Project and its respective Journal.
