This master degree is aimed for the professionals of the education field seeking to specialize and perform functions in the administration scientific area, institutional evaluation, supervision, inspection, organization and service and institution management, among others.
The Master in Education Administration, Monitoring and Regulation aims at:
Promoting a profound study, research and knowledge production on issues related to the educational administration, specially focused on the organization and management of services and schools, and corresponding regulation mechanisms;
Contributing for the development of a new generation of education administration managers and agents, with transversal skills that allow them to analyze and understand the various planning, implementation, follow-up and inspection strategies of the educational management and administration, namely in the pedagogic aspects of the human resources development, of the letter, the school network and financial resources.

Master in Education Sciences: Special Education – Cognitive and Motor Domain
This Master uses an educational policy that includes principles approved by international organizations (United Nations, UNESCO, OCDE, EU), namely the right of every children to education, the right to equal opportunities, the right to participate in society. Each school must be responsible for Education For All, for the Inclusion inside the school, where each student can participate and collaborate according to his/her possibilities, necessities and interests.
The teacher, as the main responsible for the students training and orientation, cannot delegate his/her knowledge and educational practice to others. A teacher must see the difference among the students as an opportunity to manage capabilities and find solutions to problems. At a school, where the diversity of students, demands different educational procedures, the training in special education is essential. This course focus on a great variety of topics and proper methodologies to be the answer to everyone that searches for training in finding solutions to the problems created by the educational activity.

Master in Museology
The museology is defined as a way of social intervention and communication for the development of the communities, but does not ends in the traditional tasks that is commonly associated with an that reduces the Museum to a simple storage with objects.
The Post-Graduated training in Museology at ULHT deals mainly with the local museological intervention, that thanks to its practice and projects, has been seen as an innovative museology with a strong connection to the place where it is included, sharing with the local authorities increasing responsibilities in terms of planning and coordination of cultural and museological activities, identification and valorization of the patrimony and identification of cultural public policies.
The training in Museology focus on two main issues:
- The role of museums in the Portuguese society, as producers of information and services. The necessity to create a group of researchers and professors to develop the Museology, with scientific methodologies.
The goals of this Master Program follow the Dublin descriptors of Masters. In this context, it aims at creating a group of researchers and professors able to develop the museological activities to a higher level, training experts in Museology, promoting the development of post-graduate studies, training and maintaining the process of Museology as an educational and research field, increasing the quality of the studies and of the research. Promoting the training of human resources able to practice museology and to do museological research in order to create and share knowledge that contributes to maintain the patrimony; Increasing the legal and operational knowledge related to the implementation of cultural public policies that give value to the museological action.
