EcoHeritage: ecomuseums as a collaborative approach to recognition, management and protection of cultural and natural heritage

Presensation

The Project EcoHeritage: ecomuseums as a collaborative approach to recognition, management and protection of cultural and natural heritage, is funded by the European Union’s Erasmus + Program and is dedicated to ecomuseums in Portugal, Italy, Poland and Spain.

In Portugal, the partners are MINOM Portugal – International Movement for a New Museology and Lusófona University – ULHT, where it takes place within the scope of CeiED – Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development, and is developed in the Department of Museology.

Objetives

The global objective is “to contribute to the awareness and consolidation of ecomuseums as a model of sustainable and collaborative heritage management for the development of economic growth and social cohesion among rural communities”.
