I Seminar Evaluate and differentiate to include

On the 19th of November, the seminar “Evaluating and differentiating to include” took place in Lagoa, in the Azores, which included a workshop entitled “Pedagogical Evaluation: assumptions and practices that promote inclusion”, promoted by the CeiED Post-Doctoral researcher Louise Lima and Professor Cristiana Madureira (Higher School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, Portugal). It was a moment full of reflections and perspectives on inclusion based on the potential of pedagogical evaluation in the co-construction of a more inclusive school.

Through different words associated with assessment, educators, teachers, guardians and specialized technicians discussed different meanings attributed to the concept of assessment, to reflect on how to promote assessment practices – which from a pedagogical perspective are assumed as well as teaching and learning – who are committed to the success of every one of our students. Therefore, they guarantee the participation and inclusion of all students, in a citizen, solidary and democratic school.
