Biographical note
PhD in Sociology of Education, Knowledge and Culture (FCSH / UNL), with a grant from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), Master in Sociology of Education, Knowledge and Society (FCSH / UNL) and Degree in Educational Sciences – Training Management (ULHT). Certified with the “Literacy Course for Children and Adults in the Pedagogy of Paulo Freire” (ULHT) and with the 14th Course of African Studies, from the Military University Institute.
Coordinating researcher of ReLeCo NEA-ES – Center for African Studies: Education and Society at CeiED / ULHT. Researcher at CeiED / ULHT and the Ibero-American Education Policy Research Network (RIAIPE), from the Universities and Higher Education Policies Working Group of the Latin American Council for Social Sciences (CLACSO). She has articles published in scientific journals. She has collaborated in the organization of national and international conferences and congresses. Reviewer at JARHE – Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education / EMERALD, member of the Scientific Council of Heritage – Journal of History, Heritage and Culture and member of the Editorial Board of Revista Lusófona de Educação (ULHT).
She has supervised master’s dissertations and academic internships in the areas of Political Science, International Relations and Diplomacy, African Studies and Sociology. She has been a member of doctoral juries. She was Invited Professor at ESTeSL / IPL and Invited Lecturer at FCSH / UNL, ISEG / UL and ISA / UL. She has participated in national and international conferences.
She was Pro-Rector of Undergraduate, Pedagogical Innovations and Distance Learning at the University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) and Coordinator of the Advanced Training Center at ESTeSL / IPL, Portugal. She was a Visiting Professor and Lecturer at the National University of Timor-Leste (UNTL), at the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences (ISCED) in Luanda (Angola) and at the Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) (Mozambique).
She is Technician in charge of Education, Higher Education, Science and Technology in the Executive Secretariat of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) and Assistant Professor in the Degree in Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Education and Administration (FAED), Lusophone University (ULHT).
