Biographical note

PhD in Education, 2005, University of Aveiro (equivalence); Doctor en Educación – Espec. Comparación Educación Comparada, 2002 by the UNED Universidad Nacionalde Educación a Distancia – Facultad de Educación (European doctorate and extraordinary doctorate award 2002); Master in Education – Spec. School Administration 1993 by the University of Minho; Post graduate in European Studies (Economy), Faculdade Direito, University of Coimbra; Graduate in Philosophy, 1978 by Universidade do Porto Fac. Letras.

She is Invited Professor at Universidade Lusófona do Porto Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport. Integrated Researcher of CeiED (ULHT); Selected for the Evaluators Committee 2021-2027, in the Erasmus+ Programme. Collaborates, since December 2016, in the Nursing and Other Caregivers Training Program – AKF (ECD Program). Senior consultant / researcher at the Aga Khan Portugal Foundation (AKF) in the Childhood Education and Development Program (ECD Program) from 2013 to 2016.

She was Vice-President and Pro-President of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. He was President of the Technical-Scientific Council of the Escola Superior de Educação of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, where he taught at the Department of Educational Sciences from 1986 to 2011.
