PhD in Educational Sciences (Société, Handicap et Inclusion), Lumière University, Lyon 2 (France); Associate Professor, at Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, in Lisbon.

Teaching and coordination experience in Primary and Secondary Education (School Director, Member of the Executive Council, Delegate of Discipline, Class Director, Library Director …), in Higher Education (Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, João de Deus Education and Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies) and in Special Education (Educational support to children with motor deficiencies integrated in the Schools of Regular Education, Support and pedagogical supervision of the new teachers of Special Education – Lisbon District, Santarém and Setúbal and Coordination of the Lisbon Regional Team). Accredited trainer for Continuing Teacher Training.

Supervisor of dissertations and project work (master's and specialized training) and PhD theses.

Author of several books and scientific articles on Education, Special Education, Inclusive Education and Teacher Training; Director of the Master's on Special Education: cognitive and motor domain; Integrated Researcher of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development (CeiED); Member of the Editorial Board and peer reviewer of several Portuguese and Brazilian journals.
