Abstract
The project intends to analyze new forms of postcolonial or decolonial thinking within museum practice. The guiding question is: How are museums in Europe reacting to the new agenda under discussion about colonial debt or historical/symbolic restoration? The project focuses on three major European cities: Berlin, Madrid and Lisbon. The intention of this research is to contribute to a better understanding of which strategies have already been adopted and how they are being implemented.
