Abstract
Over the last few years, the State has clearly and unequivocally demonstrated that education and training are irreplaceable factors in economic and technological development and social cohesion, in personal development and the exercise of citizenship in its fullness. However, school management models have as fundamental characteristics for their structuring the type of established leadership, whether democratic or merely subordinate. The present work sustains a key problem: if the current model of school leadership choice contributes to the satisfaction of teachers? Using a case study approach, we intend to analyze the two current models of school leadership in Portugal (Lisbon) and Brazil (State of Espírito Santo), trying to understand if there is an influence in the lives of teachers and the school on the participatory dynamics of acting directly. in the choice of school leadership and to identify whether there is satisfaction with the current model of school leadership. Our research will use, after an exploratory period, a structure of the qualitative method, allowing to carry out an analysis that includes several dimensions, contributing to the knowledge of the relationship between the teacher’s satisfaction factor and the established school leadership model. The analysis carried out will make it possible to know and analyze different professional conceptions about the life of schools, highlighting aspects of the legislative exercise and its consequences regarding the relationship between teachers’ satisfaction and school leadership.
