Kick off meeting of the PedPack Project – Participation of CeiED Researcher Ana Paula Silva

Professor Ana Paula Silva participated in the initial kick off meeting, of the Pedagogy and Practice (PedPack) project that took place in Richmond, Yorkshire, UK, from 28-30 November 2018. The agenda included the detailed analysis of the project, its management, evaluation and dissemination. In the development of this project will be made the reformulation and implementation of a teacher training package, adapted to each national context, in five areas: Learning Structuring, Teaching Models, Assessment for Learning, Development of Autonomous and Effective Learners and Management of Classroom.

Participation of CeiED Collaborator Researcher Miguel Rodrigues – Seminar “Health Promotion and Prevention of Violence throughout the Life Cycle”

The Collaborator Researcher of CeiED Miguel Rodrigues participated as a guest speaker at the 1st Seminar “Promotion of Health and Prevention of Violence throughout the Life Cycle”, which took place in Auditório Paços do Concelho de Odivelas on November 16, 2018. He presented the theme “Impact of Domestic Violence on School Performance”.

Seminar on the Epistemology of Paulo Freire – Professor Carlos Alberto Torres

On December 3 and 4, 2018, a doctoral seminar led by Professor Carlos Alberto Torres on “The construction of knowledge: on the epistemology of Paulo Freire”. This event took place in the scope of the seminar “Paulo Freire and Pedagogy of the Oppressed: 50 years of presence in societies”, held on November 30 in the facilities of the University Lusófona.

Carlos Smaniotto Costa took part in the 15th AHRA International Conference (Architectural Humanities Research Association) organized by the Department of the Built Environment of the Technical University of Eindhoven / The Netherlands between 15 and 17 November 2018. The theme of the conference was “Smartness” and its implications for building more sustainable and people-centered cities.

Equivalence of the Master’s Degree in Educational Sciences from ULHT at UNIVAS (Brazil)

The Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) recognized the Master’s Degree in Educational Sciences of Francisca Aline de Oliveira Torres, with the dissertation “Environmental Education, Citizenship and Popular Perspectives in the Teachers’ Opinion”, guided by Prof. Dr. Fernanda Veiga Gomes.
