Abstract

Over the years, measures have been taken to promote the principles of inclusive school. The literature review argues that inclusion has as a goal that all students have the right to an identical and quality education. However, it is necessary to provide an education that respects the individual characteristics and needs of children, at the risk of turning inclusion into exclusion.

Educational leadership is the dimension on which we will focus in this investigation, including school governing bodies, as responsible for the involvement, motivation and mobilization of the entire educational community in the implementation of an inclusive philosophy, capable of promoting the school success of all students.

This study aims to investigate “Educational leadership and inclusive education for all students” supported by the following research question: From the point of view of educational directorates and school directors, how is the inclusion of all students in the schools being processed? schools – what facilities and barriers do they encounter?

The investigation is qualitative in nature, based on three case studies, in which the survey, semi-structured interview and document analysis will be adopted as a data collection technique.
