Maria João Antunes

Maria João Antunes is a research fellow on the project Changes in access policies to higher education during COVID-19 - Impact on equity, developed by the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development at the Lusófona University - University Centre of Lisbon and the Research Centre for Economic and Business Policies (NIPE) of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho and supported by EDULOG - Belmiro de Azevedo Foundation.

She completed her PhD in 2022 at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto with the thesis: Student struggles during the dictatorship and their influence on educational transformations after the 25th of April - The student movements in Porto (1968-1974). Her research interests are related to: educational policies, higher education, adult education, social movements and political participation, history of education.
