Constitution of collective membership in 2022.

Abstract

AILPcsh is constituted as a non-profit association, bringing together practitioners of social and human sciences of any nationality, provided that they use the Portuguese language significantly in their scientific work with the aim of promoting the development of Social and Human Sciences in the Portuguese language.

Abstract

The First Seminar on Associations and Labor Unions in Education took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2009, and its main result was the foundation of the ASTE network – Research Network on Associations and Unions of Workers in Education. The main objective of the ASTE network is to bring together researchers, students and union members who have as research subject matter associations and labor unions of workers in education, each time a more important sector of the world trade unionism.

"CeiED was accepted in March 2021 as a member of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA)."

The Chair of Education, Citizenship, and Cultural Diversity is a university training and extension program that works with educational and cultural content as an invaluable contribution to the affirmation of development policies.

Research team

A Group of 111 researchers with a balanced gender representation, belonging (or working) to higher education institutions from 17 different countries, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, North America and Europe. The GT includes both researchers who are world references in the fields of Comparative Education and Higher Education Policy, as young researchers (master's and doctoral students).

Abstract

In terms of methodological strategy, the GT shall focus on different levels of analysis: the supranational, with an emphasis on the educational policy guidelines of intergovernmental agencies (e.g. OECD, World Bank, UNESCO, OEI, European Union, Mercosur); the national, centered on specific cases of certain states and their interpretations and strategies; the institutional, studying institutions of higher education; and finally, the level of individual analysis, i.e. how the different actors (academic profession, stakeholders, students, social movements, business sector) participate in educational changes.
