Isabela Vieira Bertho

Isabela Vieira Bertho has a bachelor degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2010) and a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Geneva, Switzerland (2014). She has a specialization in gender and sexuality from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ, 2016). She has more than ten years' professional experience in social projects, having coordinated projects aimed at the immigrant population, young people, people living with HIV/Aids and the elderly. 

She is currently pursuing her second master degree in Comparative Studies at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, where she researches the Interarts from a cultural and memory studies perspective, and is particularly interested in the intersectionality between migration, memory and gender. Her current research focuses on the relations between materialities of memory, transculturality and the production of activist discourses. 

She is also a research fellow at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development - CeiED at Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário de Lisboa, where she carries out administrative activities and is a member of the science management team.
