Conference "Promoting Meaningful Learning at School: Citizenship, Inclusion, and Mediation"

3 may 2024

On April 13, the meeting "Promoting Meaningful Learning at School: Citizenship, Inclusion, and Mediation" took place, promoted by the Campanhã Professional School in conjunction with the Master's Degree in Educational Sciences at the Lusófona University - Porto University Center, under the coordination of Professor Alcina Manuela de Oliveira Martins, a researcher at CeiED. It was a clear articulation between the University and the educational context with a view to joint reflection on the possibilities of building a more inclusive school and, therefore, one that is concerned with guaranteeing the learning of each and every one of its students. The presentations were moderated by Professor Louise Lima, a researcher at CeiED. The communications began with Professor Ariana Cosme, Inspector General for Education and Science, reflecting on the dimensions of school and training from an inclusive perspective. We then had the opportunity to discuss practical cases of School Mediation based on the vast experience of Professor Elisabete Pinto da Costa, a researcher at CeiED. Finally, Professor Luzia Lima Rodrigues, also a researcher at CeiED, concluded by discussing the links between promoting meaningful learning and a climate of peace.
