Ernesto Candeias Martins
Biographical note
Teacher with University Aggregate Title, doctor of field of the History of Social Education, teaching in the IPCB, since 1988, having served in various positions in the various institutional bodies. Belongs to scientific committee’s masters in currently Coordinator of the master of Social Intervention. He has been a visiting professor by several foreign universities (Salamanca, Palma de Mallorca, Ferrara, Seville, Murcia, etc.). Is integrated in the Centre of Research investigator-CeiED da University Lusófona de Humanity of Technology (Lisbon), where he has participated in several projects. He was institutional coordinator of the cross-border Project between IPCB/University of Extremadura (Spain) Program of emotional intelligence in students of basic education in the region of Castelo Branco (2011-2016) in groups of school district.
Is President of the Association HiscultEduca (Castelo Branco/Portugal) dedicated to historical and cultural studies, educational and heritage with several ongoing projects and actions. Is a member of several societies of educational sciences and/or history of education, for example, the Spain Pedagogy Society, SPCE and Association of History of Education in Portugal, etc. Wrote more than a hundred scientific articles, a dozen books, chapters, and other publications.
