Cristiana Pizarro Madureira

Cristiana holds a PhD in Education, a Master's degree in Sociology of Education and Educational Policies, and a Bachelor's degree in Education. She currently serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Education and Social Sciences (ESECS) of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, where she coordinates the Master's program in Education Sciences: Education and Community Development. She is an integrated researcher at the Transdisciplinary Research Center "Culture, Space, and Memory" at the University of Porto and a member of the board of the Association for Cultural Promotion and Dissemination.

Since 2012, Cristiana has been actively involved in teaching at national and international universities, including in Portugal, Mozambique, and Spain. She has provided consultancy services to schools in Portugal and Mozambique to promote interculturality, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence. She also has experience as a Socioeducational Mediator, coordinating projects and school networks to promote inclusive and positive educational practices.

She served as the Director of the Jean Piaget Northeast School of Education, pedagogical coordinator and researcher at the Fernão de Magalhães International Teaching and Research Center, and co-created and co-coordinated the Transdisciplinary Research Center in Education Sciences at the Douro Superior Institute of Educational Sciences.
