

Maristela Simão
PhD in Museology, Master in African History, and Bachelor in Museology and History, with a specialization in Education for Diversity. She is a faculty member in the Master's and Doctoral programs in Sociomuseology at Universidade Lusófona. She is part of the Coordinating Committee of the UNESCO Chair at Universidade Lusófona. She has been a consultant for the Brazilian Institute of Museums and an associate researcher at the Afro-Brazilian Studies Center at UDESC for 15 years.
She participated as a researcher in the Ecoheritage project and coordinated cultural heritage and museology projects.
Currently, she is part of the research team for the HIGHRES Project - Helping Intangible Heritage Resilience through Storytelling (Erasmus+ 2023-1-LV01-KA220-ADU-000160743) (2023-2025).
