Paula Barroso

Paula Barroso is a psychologist and holds a PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Minho. She is a full member of the Portuguese Association for Career Development and the Portuguese Psychologists' Association (OPP).

Her work as a psychologist has been mainly developed in public and private educational contexts, such as public schools and higher education institutions. Her experience has mainly been in psychological assessment/intervention with adults and students at different stages/levels of development/education (from primary school to higher education), including career counselling, specific education needs and lifelong learning strategies. Her research has focused on understanding life projects, the articulation between school and professional paths throughout life, contextual factors in career development, as well as the role of the perception of dignified work in different work/life experiences.
