Camila holds a degree in Artistic Education with a specialization in Visual Arts from the State University of Londrina (2007). She worked as a basic education teacher for the São Paulo State Department of Education and completed her Master's in Educational Policies at Nove de Julho University (2013), where she also earned her Ph.D. in the same field of research.

Her research has consistently focused on understanding the curriculum and its impacts on various dimensions of schooling, particularly its effects on teaching practices and the control of teachers' work. During her Master's studies, she investigated a specific reform in the state basic education network in 2008. For her Ph.D., she delved into the last 20 years of educational policies centered on the curriculum of technical high school education at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of São Paulo. Her research spans curriculum history, its impact on teaching work, political changes, pressures on curricula, and the influence of multinational organizations.

Currently, she teaches Art and education-related subjects in teacher training programs at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of São Paulo.
