She has a degree in Psychology, and is a full member of the Portuguese Psychologists' Association, with specialty titles in Educational Psychology and Organizational Psychology, and an advanced specialty in Vocational and Career Psychology.
After working as a psychologist, both in educational contexts (schools, CRVcc's Centres, CNO's ETC) and also in organizations, she began her path in the field of practice and research in contemplative and meditative sciences, including Mindfulness meditation, first obtaining certification as an instructor by the Portuguese Yoga Federation, the first meditative practice recorded in human history. For around 17 years she has been a facilitator of various types of meditation, maintaining an eclectic and even comparative approach to centering and decentering meditative practices and incorporating the scientific and investigative component (and its westernization).
As well as being a consultant, trainer and lecturer at various Lusófona Group institutions, at the PEA-Porto Executive Academy and a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Porto, she is an international online instructor (in Portuguese and English) at the world's largest meditation app, InsightTimer, where she is one of the few Portuguese-speaking (from Portugal) and bilingual instructors.
She is also dedicated to writing and research, having authored more than 80 publications - book chapters, technical articles and articles in national and international scientific journals.
With an integrative approach to organizational behavior, human resources marketing and management anchored in organizational happiness, she defends the title of Specialist in Management and Administration in this area, currently seeking a transdisciplinary approach between multiple actors and sciences, with a special focus on personal development and well-being applied to the link between education/training and the world of work, and so in 2023 she decided to start her Post-Doctorate in Education at the Lusófona University of Lisbon with a focus on education and pedagogy in higher education.
