CeiED joins international debate on research methodologies in education
CeiED researcher André Freitas has been invited to share his experience in the writing and publication of scientific articles on research methodologies with the educational community of the International Journal of Research and Method in Education (IJRME), published by Taylor & Francis.
The webinar, entitled “Making Methods Matter: From Doctoral Thinking to Publishing in IJRME”, is organised by the journal’s co-editors Jo Rose (University of Bristol) and Tim Jay (University of Nottingham), and will take place on 2 December, from 10:00 to 12:00 (GMT).
The session focuses on the exchange of experiences among early career researchers in education who explore innovative methods or creative approaches to navigating methodological challenges in their research.
Registration is free and can be completed via the following link.
Aimed at doctoral students, recent PhD graduates, and research supervisors, the webinar recognises the doctoral process as a key opportunity for methodological development and for deep engagement with critical thinking about research methodologies in education and their dissemination.
During the event, participants will hear and reflect on:
- the thinking that led to the writing of their papers;
- the strategies used to transform ideas into publishable contributions;
- the challenges and rewards involved in the writing and submission process.
