Project Manager – CeiED | Ref. UIDB/4114/2025

Universidade Lusófona through the Talent Management Department intends to recruit a Project Manager, with the financial support of FCT/MCTES through national funds (PIDDAC), as part of the base funding of the Research Unit – CeiED/ Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development.

CeiED: Interdisciplinary research Centre for Education and Development is looking for a professional for the area of Project Management.

Job Description

Job/position: Project Management Contract (Bachelor/Master)

Specific scientific area: Education Sciences and/or Management

An open call is being launched for a fixed-term, 12-months, renewable Bachelor/Master contract, within the scope of the CeiED activities, under the following conditions:

Admission Requirements:

  1. Bachelor and/or Master*;
  2. Training and/or proven experience in project management functions;
  3. Oral and written proficiency in Portuguese and English.
  4. Knowledge and experience with national and international funding programs;
  5. Leadership skills and strong motivation for teamwork, combining organization and meeting deadlines;
  6. Communication skills and the ability to establish collaborative relationships with national and international partners;
  7. Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and find solutions to challenges—whether technical, interpersonal, or strategic.

Work Plan:

  1. Support to CeiED activities;
  2. Support in the organization of dissemination, information and knowledge transfer events in the scope of CeiED projects;
  3. To manage the process of periodic information availability concerning the available funding opportunities;
  4. Support in the elaboration and submission of applications to national and international research funding programmes;
  5. Coordination and management of R&D projects, including technical support in the scope of contracts, budget management, communication with funding agencies, and implementation of national and international funded projects;
  6. Support in human resources recruitment and selection processes within the scope of the projects;
  7. Data management and processing, report writing and preparation of decision support opinions.

Conditions of employment:

  1. a) Fixed term contract of 12 months, renewable.
  2. b) The average monthly salary will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, in addition to a meal allowance.
  3. c) 35 hours per week, subject to compliance with the daily schedule, under the terms of the applicable legislation and internal regulations.

Selection method:

a) The applications admitted to the competition will be assessed considering the quality, timeliness, and relevance of the professional curriculum of the applicants, in addition to the level of adequacy to the proposed work plan – (60%).

Criteria for assessing the curricular assessment:

  1. Final classification in each of the academic degrees;
  2. Proven knowledge of national legislation relating to higher education and science;
  3. Proven knowledge of national and international funding models for scientific research;
  4. Experience in the submission and management of R&D projects;
  5. Experience in recruitment processes of human resources for R&D activities.

 b) The interview will apply only to candidates placed in the first positions after the curricular analysis.

Interview (40%)

Criteria for assessing the evaluation of the interview:

  1. Interpersonal skills;
  2. Analysis of the suitability of the candidate's career development plan to the needs of CeiED and vice-versa;
  3. Analysing experience with practical and direct questions to prove knowledge considered relevant.
