The 4th International Congress “Humanism, Human Rights and Citizenship” has already taken place

23 and 24 October 2025

On October 23 and 24, 2025, the 4th International Congress on “Humanism, Human Rights and Citizenship” was held in Lisbon, organized by the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development (CeiED) of Universidade Lusófona.

The event brought together over 400 participants and received around 200 paper submissions, reaffirming its role as a significant forum for interdisciplinary reflection and research on citizenship, human rights, and humanism.

Among the highlights of the congress was the opening lecture, “Derechos Humanos, Ciudadanía y Democracia en tiempos de auge del neofascismo: por una Pedagogía Antifascista”, delivered by Professor Enrique Javier Díez Gutiérrez from the University of León. The program also featured round tables and parallel sessions that fostered discussion on topics such as artificial intelligence and education, social intervention, religions, politics, ideologies, and globalization.

In addition to strengthening international participation and academic engagement, these impressive figures reflect the growing interest in the issues addressed and the vitality of the scientific and professional community around them.

CeiED extends its gratitude to all participants, speakers, and coordinators who made this success possible!
