Training: "Communication and Education for Sustainability"

21 november 2024

We invite in-service teachers and educators/mediators from libraries and museums to participate in the training session "Communication and Education for Sustainability", which will take place on December 6, 2024, at Universidade Lusófona (Lisbon University Center), from 2 PM to 6 PM (Lisbon time).

The training is free of charge and has limited spots, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon completion of this form. Priority will be given to participants from the Lisbon and São Paulo regions, as they represent the project's focal areas. The training will be in-person for Lisbon participants and online exclusively for participants in São Paulo.

The event will feature:

  • Joana Guerra Tadeu, science journalist and climate justice activist, who will lead the training session "Communication and Education for Sustainability", combining theoretical and practical components.
  • CIDAC – Amílcar Cabral Development Intervention Center, for a fair break session.
  • BLX Lisbon Libraries.
  • Ecoparque of the Philó Municipal School of Fundamental Education, São Paulo.

This training is part of the MUBIESUS project – Public Science and Educational Paths towards sustainability in museums and Libraries in Lisbon and São Paulo, which aims to understand the training expectations of in-service teachers and explore how these cultural spaces can promote education and communication for sustainability.

The MUBIESUS project, coordinated by Inês Vieira, is part of the Public Science Forum at CeiED. It is supported by FCT – Foundation for Science and Technology (project ref. PE-CEIED-4/002/2023, CeiED DOI 10.54499/UIDP/04114/2020) and partners with BLX – Lisbon Libraries and the National Arts Plan.
