What does science tell us about the relationship between brain function, mental processes, and educational practices?
We invite everyone interested in the intersections between neuroscience, cognition, and education to join this webinar led by Lucimar Dantas (CeiED) and Jorge Oliveira (HEI-Lab).
This webinar aims to briefly explore the relationships between the brain, mind, and education from an interdisciplinary perspective within the field of educational neuroscience. Special emphasis will be placed on the neural mechanisms that support learning in school contexts, with a discussion of the cognitive factors that influence the teaching and learning process.
The Master's Degree in Cognitive Science and Education will also be presented. This is a second-cycle program comprising 120 ECTS over four semesters, offered jointly by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Education and Administration and the School of Psychology and Life Sciences at Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário de Lisboa. The program is distinguished by its interdisciplinary approach, exploring the interaction between cognitive sciences and education, with a particular focus on learning processes in educational settings.
During the webinar, admission requirements and selection criteria will be explained, along with the curriculum and structure of the program. The session will also address questions and support prospective applicants in making an informed decision about this innovative course, which prepares professionals to meet the current challenges of the education system with critical thinking grounded in the latest research and scientific evidence.
