Lucimar Dantas

Lucimar Dantas is a researcher with interests in learning and teaching and the role of language in these processes. She has a PhD in Education from the Lusófona University with the title of European Doctorate (2012) approved with distinction and honour. She completed part of her doctoral training at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her interest in language and learning has been a constant since her Master's and PhD studies. Recently, she has adopted an interdisciplinary research approach between Education, Psycholinguistics and Cognitive Neuroscience to study language and the learning process. As part of this approach, she founded and coordinated from 2019 to 2022 the Research and Learning Community NELP - Portuguese Language Studies Group - at CeiED research centre. NELP research group originated the current Research and Learning Community: Teaching, Learning & Innovation co-coordinated by Lucimar. Since 2019 she has coordinated some funded research projects at national and international levels as well as integrated research teams, disseminating the project results in international events and journals and establishing networks with European, American and African partners. In 2021 she co-founded and she is currently the Vice-Director of the Master's Degree in Cognitive Sciences and Education at Lusófona University. She is the Executive Director of the Citizenship Sciences Doctoral College - CeiED, maintains constant links with The Council for Doctoral Education of the European University Association - EUA-CDE. In EUA, she integrates the Thematic Peer Group Learning & Teaching collaborating with nine European universities. She also integrates the CoaARA Working Group on Multilingualism and Language Biases in Research Assessment. She is the editor of the Revista Lusófona de Educação and a reviewer in international journals.
