On September 23, 2025, the 18th edition of the Master’s in Special Education at ULusófona began – one of the oldest programs of its kind in the country.
This comprehensive two-year course leads to the degree of Master’s in Special Education (upon completion of the second year) and provides specialized training in Special Education (at the end of the first year) for certified teachers with at least five years of professional experience at the time of enrollment.The program’s consolidated experience in research, studies, and practices in Special Education has provided the foundation for the launch of the 1st edition of the Postgraduate Program in Special Education and Inclusive Education, which also started on September 23. This intensive six-month course, combining online and in-person classes, is designed to prepare teachers and professionals working with children and students who require support measures for learning and inclusion. The Postgraduate Program also grants specialized training in Special Education for teachers who meet the same requirements established for the first year of the Master’s program.
