2nd National Seminar of the "AGRRIN Project: Generating bodies"

On December 13, 2023, it was held the II National Seminar of the "AGRRIN project - Generating bodies: from aggression to insurgency" was promoted. Contributions to a decolonial pedagogy (Project Ref.: DOI 10.54499/2022.06269.PTDC.), coordinated by CeiED - Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development, within the scope of the Department of Museology at Universidade Lusófona, with the support of the UNESCO Chair “Education , Citizenship and Cultural Diversity”.

The event provided the presentation of the research team, as well as the objectives, priority axes and methodology(ies) of the research project to the communities involved, in addition to communications from Evalina Dias Gomes (Djass - Associação de Afrodescendentes) regarding the memorial in honor of enslaved people in Lisbon, by Ana Paula Costa (Casa do Brasil de Lisboa) on the various fronts of action of the association, and by Tony Omolu and ROD (Coletivo Afrontosas) who shared their experiences in building a black and queer collective in Portugal.

The second part of the program featured the screening of the film "Alcindo", which deals with the heinous murder of Alcindo Monteiro motivated by racial hatred in 1995 in Lisbon, followed by a conversation with director Miguel Dores.
