André Freitas has been selected as an international expert for the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the field of social sciences. The invitation for international experts to participate in the evaluation of the Ukrainian research system was promoted under the protocol established between the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT, IP) and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU).

The selected experts form part of the evaluation group for the Ukrainian research system and the research conducted in the country's universities and research institutions. This group contributes to ensuring that evaluation practices are carried out in accordance with the highest international standards, thus guaranteeing transparency and fostering the advancement of Ukraine's research ecosystem and its credibility on the global stage.
