The video of António Nóvoa’s presentation, entitled “Renewing the Social Contract for Education: Navigating Possible Futures”, is now available on the CeiED YouTube channel.

The lecture was delivered as part of the VI World Council of Comparative Education Societies Symposium (VI WCCES Symposium), an international event that brought together academics and experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing education in a constantly changing world.

In his presentation, António Nóvoa emphasized the urgency of rethinking the social contract for education, arguing that educational policies and practices must respond to contemporary social, technological, and cultural transformations. He also highlighted the central role of education in building fairer, more democratic, and more inclusive societies.

The session was moderated by Amélia Lopes, President of the Portuguese Society of Education Sciences (SPCE), who enriched the debate and fostered interaction with participants.
