António Teodoro publishes article in Expresso advocating “slow science” in doctoral education

The newspaper Expresso published, on 19 March, an opinion article by Professor António Teodoro, Director of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development (CeiED) and of the Institute of Education at Lusofona University, addressing the role of time in scientific production.

In the article, the author argues for the importance of a slow science approach in doctoral education, emphasising that, despite the contribution of artificial intelligence, science continues to rely on the patient work of understanding the world.

This reflection contributes to the ongoing debate on the pace of scientific research and the conditions required for more sustainable and critical advanced training.
