In the event of a complaint, candidates may submit their objections in writing within a maximum of 10 working days from the date of receipt of the respective communication, in accordance with articles 121 and following of the Administrative Procedure Code. The competition for the award of five (5) Scientific Initiation Scholarships for the summer course - Science Schools: Introduction to scientific research and digital experiences for a future science, taking place between September 1 and September 30, 2022, is open. The competition is part of the "Summer with Science" Program, promoted by FCT, with the aim of stimulating the initiation into scientific activity, establishing the following conditions:

Admission Requirements

Students who meet the conditions to be research scholarship holders (articles 5 and 6 of the FCT Scholarship Regulation).

Work Plan

Based on the pillars of innovation, culture, teaching, and research, the initiation activities to R&D of the students will take place within the framework of the ReMASE project (Research Methods in Advanced Studies in Education) and within the context of projects in four of the eight ReLeCo - Research and Learning Communities and an Observatory that are part of the research structure of CeiED - Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Education and Development. These ReLeCo are NELP - Portuguese Language Studies Center, Sociomuseology, NEISE - Center for Studies in Social and Educational Inclusion, and EDCE - Sports Education, Body, and Ethics. The Observatory is Op.Edu - Observatory of Education Policies.

Applicable Legislation and Regulation

Place of Activity

The activities related to the scholarship will be carried out at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Education and Development of the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies (ULHT), under the scientific guidance of Dr. Carla Galego (Integrated Researcher at CeiED).

Duration of the Scholarship

The scholarship will last for 1 month, starting on September 1, 2022.

Monthly Maintenance Allowance

The amount of the scholarship corresponds to 486.12 euros according to the table of values of scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in the country. The scholarship will be paid by bank transfer.

The performance of functions as a scholarship holder is carried out on an exclusive dedication basis, under Article 5 of the Statute of the Scientific Research Fellow.

Selection Methods

The selection of candidates will be made by a jury consisting of Dr. Carla Galego (President), Dr. Lucimar Dantas (1st Member), and Dr. Maristela Simão (2nd Member), based on the curriculum evaluation, letter of motivation, and curriculum vitae, corresponding respectively to 70%, 20%, and 10% of the evaluation of the candidates.

Publication/Notification of Results

The final results of the evaluation will be published through a draft ordered list, displayed in a visible and public place at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Education and Development and published on the CeiED website.

Candidates may lodge a complaint within 5 working days from the posting/publication of the final classification list.

The approved candidate will be notified by email.
