Call for Proposals Research Fellowship for Graduates - RePeME R&D Project - And after the pandemic? Recovery, permanences and changes in basic education in Portugal

The call for the award of one (1) Research Fellowship for Graduates is open, within the scope of the R&D project RePeME - And after the pandemic? Recovery, permanences and changes in basic education in Portugal, funded under the Excellence in Research Call of the Fazer+ Programme: Support for Science and Innovation (Ref. ILIND_F+_EI_03_2022/RePeME), under the following conditions:
Scientific Area: Communication Sciences
Admission Requirements:
Candidates must have the following mandatory requirements::
- Academic qualification required: Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences or related fields, including Applied Communication, Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication and Communication Design. Enrolment in a degree course or in a non-degree course integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.
- Proficient command of the Portuguese language;
- Solid training in creating visual content for editorial and digital design;
- Solid training in video content production, image and video capture and editing.
Preferred factors:
- Good knowledge of the English language;
- Good knowledge of the French language;
- Good ability to build messages of a diverse nature for different audiences/contexts and in different media;
- Experience in the development of dissemination activities in research projects;
- Good communication skills, autonomy and sense of responsibility.
Work plan:
The Scholarship Holder will carry out activities within the scope of support for the organization and technical-scientific development of the project, namely:
- Design of graphic media and other communication materials necessary (e.g., flyers, policy briefs, infographics) for the dissemination of the project's activities and results;
- Production of video content, including the recording and editing of a podcast;
- Support in the organization of events associated with the project.
Applicable law and regulations:
Place of activity: The activities related to the Scholarship will be developed at CeiED - Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development of the Lusófona University, under the scientific supervision of Dr. Teresa Teixeira Lopo (Scientific Coordinator of the project).
Duration of the scholarship(s): The scholarship will last for 3 months and is scheduled to start on December 01, 2023
Value of the monthly maintenance allowance: The amount of the scholarship corresponds to 930.98 euros according to the table of values of the scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in the country (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_2023.pdf). To this amount is added the voluntary social insurance corresponding to the first bracket, if the candidate chooses to be assigned, as well as the personal accident insurance.
The scholarship will be paid monthly by bank transfer.
The performance of functions as a scholarship holder is carried out on an exclusive dedication basis, under Article 5 of the Statute of the Scientific Research Grant Holder.
Selection methods:
The selection of candidates will be made by a jury composed of Dr. Teresa Teixeira Lopo (scientific coordination of the project), Dr. Conceição Costa PhD (representative of the project's partner institution/CICANT) and Dr. Ana António (integrated researcher of the project's proposing institution/CeiED). As an alternate member, Dr. José Viegas Brás (integrated researcher of the project's proposing institution/CeiED) is appointed.
The selection of applications will be made by applying the methods of curricular evaluation and interview, considering:
- a) Curricular evaluation, in view of the objectives of the project and the nature of the activities to be developed and considering the preferential admission requirements, valued from 1 to 10 points (50%);
- b) Motivation letter, valued from 1 to 10 points (20%);
- c) Selection interview, to be held for the three applications with the best classification in the curricular evaluation, to assess knowledge and skills, valued from 1 to 10 points (30%)
The jury reserves the right not to award the Scholarship if the quality of the applications is lower than intended.
Form of publication/notification of results:
The final results of the evaluation will be published through a draft ordered list, posted in a visible and public place of CeiED - Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development and published on its website.
Applicants may complain within 10 working days from the posting/publication of the final ranking list.
The successful candidate will be notified by email.
