On October 20 and 21, 2023, CeiED welcomed the members of the External Advisory Committee André Roubert (Université de Lyon, France), Maria Cristina Bruno (Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil) Montserrat Pallares (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain) and Xavier Bonal (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain) to the University Center of Lisbon of Universidade Lusófona. Carlos Alberto Torres (University of California at Los Angeles [UCLA], United States of America) was unable to attend, meeting via Zoom, as he was at the White House (Washington D.C) at the invitation of US First Lady Jill Biden, when the US rejoined UNESCO.

The purpose of the External Advisory Committee's presence was to prepare for the period of evaluation of the FCT's Research Units.
