Researchers Elsa Estrela and Carla Galego participated in the XX World Conference of the International Sociological Society - ISA, under the theme Resurgent Authoritarianism: Sociology of New Entanglements of Religions, Politics and Economies, which took place in Melbourne, Australia, between 25 June and 1 July.

Within the Research Committee RC04 Sociology of Education, the researchers presented a paper entitled Academic professionalism in the 21st century: processes of change in teachers' practice, which arises from their research on processes of change in teaching practices in Higher Education and their effects on Academic Professionalism.

This was a very important participation since it allowed to share the trends identified in the study, which will be deepened and presented in further scientific events.
