CeiED was present at the XII Portuguese Congress of Sociology ‘Polarised societies? Challenges for sociology’, organized by the Portuguese Sociological Association and hosted at the Convento de São Francisco and Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra between April 4 and 6, 2023.

Integrating the Exhibition of Centres and Publishing Houses of this Congress, CeiED disclosed its structures and research lines, the relation with public science and advanced training, its scientific magazines – Revista Lusófona de Educação and Cadernos de Sociomuseologia, both indexed in Scopus, considered as reference publications in their respective areas of action – and the collection Educação, Cultura e Território (Edições Universitárias Lusófonas), through its first book, with memories of Ana Maria Bénard da Costa, a pioneer in special and inclusive education.

Inês Vieira, an integrated researcher at CeiED, participated in the Congress and presented papers in the scope of popular education, social-urban inequalities and territorial education for sustainability. She also participated in the meeting of the Thematic Section ‘Civil Society, Alternative Economies, Volunteering’, reinforcing the networking in this area.
