CeiED Researcher Strengthens International Collaboration on Master's Examining Boards at USP
Professor Adel Igor Pausini, an integrated researcher at CeiED and Pedagogical Coordinator of the Department of Museology at Lusófona University, recently participated remotely in three Master's examining boards at the University of São Paulo (USP).
The first assessment took place on 12 December 2025, during the defence of Leonardo Arouca Porfirio da Silva. The thesis, entitled “Museum, Territory and Inclusion: Museological Strategies for Sociocultural Inclusion at the Museum of the Portuguese Language”, was also assessed by professors Maria Cristina Oliveira Bruno, Camilo de Mello Vasconcellos, and Marcelo Mattos Araújo.
In March 2026, the researcher joined two new panels, with both candidates successfully passing. On 5 March, he evaluated Jacira Aparecida de Campos Ramos's dissertation in Museology, focusing on the “Museology of the Sacred Regarding the Cultural Assets of the Order of Capuchin Friars Minor”. This panel was chaired by Maria Cristina Oliveira Bruno and included Heloisa Maria Silveira Barbuy and Marcelo Mattos Araújo. A week later, on 12 March, he participated in the Anthropology defence of Maria de Lourdes Fernandes Campos de Oliveira, which explored “The Symbolic Contamination of the House by the Museal”. This session was led by Hugo Menezes Neto, alongside Francisco Sá Barreto dos Santos.
Professor Adel Pausini's presence on these boards reflects his extensive academic experience and strengthens CeiED’s international cooperation networks. This involvement fosters the transatlantic sharing of knowledge and highlights a continued commitment to training new professionals in the Social Sciences and Humanities.
