CeiED Scientific Council Meeting Discusses Strategic Future of the Centre
9 july 2025
On July 9, 2025, another meeting of the Scientific Council of CeiED took place, with the participation of the majority of the Centre's integrated researchers. The meeting unfolded in a spirit of shared reflection, focusing on the current and future challenges facing the Centre.
A critical analysis of the overall results of the FCT external evaluation was carried out, with particular attention given to the report from the Education Sciences Panel. The implications of the “Very Good” rating were discussed, especially in terms of FCT funding and the consolidation of CeiED's scientific positioning.
With the next evaluation cycle (2025–2029) on the horizon, the discussion also focused on strategies to consolidate the grade 4 across all three evaluation criteria, while identifying opportunities for improvement with the aim of reaching the maximum grade (5).
The proposal for the composition of the Executive Committee was also approved, in accordance with Article 10, paragraph 1, point a) of the CeiED Statutes.
The meeting concluded with a commemorative dinner, celebrating a productive academic year full of achievements, and marking—symbolically and collectively—the institutional recognition granted by the FCT evaluation with the “Very Good” classification.
