The Ebook Expedition Schools of Brazil has just been published by the Universidade Estadual do Ceará, Brazil. It is the result of an investigation financed by CNPq that aimed to analyze the articulations between educational policy, global citizenship and territorial diversity, seeking to understand how this theme is lived in schools.
To this end, the team of researchers carried out a study in 23 schools located in the six Brazilian biomes (Mata Atlântica, Pampa, Cerrado, Caatinga, Amazônia and Pantanal), which justifies the title of the work, and presents the results of their findings here. As the introductory note reads, “the way in which subjects exercise their autonomy to reinvent and re-signify the spaces and meanings of the school should be highlighted. in the policy implementation process.
Special attention in this context belongs to the understanding of how different government initiatives and programs reach schools, are understood and reinterpreted by their teams” (Vieira & Vidal, 2021, p. 16).
