On 3 May 2024, the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences (SPCE) held the election of its governing bodies at the FPCEUP premises.

List A, under the motto '35 Years of Educational Sciences: Uniting the Past with the Future', which included CeiED researcher Elsa Estrela as a member of the governing bodies, won the elections with 83 votes in favour out of 84 cast.
