HIGHRES Final Conference: The Role of Digital Storytelling in Promoting ICH

21 November 2025

The HIGHRES project was successfully concluded with its European final dissemination conference, held on Friday, 21 November 2025. Organised by our partner, the University of Milan-Bicocca, the hybrid-format event focused on a key theme: the role of digital storytelling in promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).

The conference brought together researchers, storytellers, cultural organisations and community-based practitioners from across Europe to explore how digital narratives can celebrate, transmit and strengthen ICH as a factor of inclusion and social meaning.

Throughout the day, speakers from Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Italy presented a range of case studies, demonstrating how digital tools can support sustainable tourism, foster social innovation and revitalise local memory. The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the resources developed by the project to enhance heritage resilience in rural areas and marked the launch of our new digital platform.
