HIGHRES Project Consortium Meeting in Heelsum, the Netherlands

11 and 12 june 2025

On June 11 and 12, 2025, the 4th Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ HIGHRES Project –

Helping IntanGible Heritage REsilience through Storytelling – took place in Heelsum, the Netherlands, bringing together representatives from the partner institutions of the consortium for two intensive days of collaborative work, strategic discussions, and technical visits. CeiED and Department of Museology were represented by the Science Manager, Maria Clara Leal.

During the meeting, updates on Work Packages 3, 5, and 6 were presented. The meeting had a particular focus on the development of the training modules on digital storytelling for intangible cultural heritage, to be delivered through an e-learning format. Final revisions of the translations for the publication of the Methodological Framework & Training Pathway—developed by Lusófona University based on the case study of the Monte Redondo Museum—were also discussed.

On the second day, participants took part in a technical visit to the Nederlands Openluchtmuseum (Netherlands Open Air Museum), where they had the opportunity to engage with Pieter van Rooij, curator at the Dutch Centre of Intangible Cultural Heritage (KIEN), and explore the exhibition “The Heersink House for Intangible Heritage.” The visit fostered a shared reflection on innovative practices for the valorisation and safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage, highlighting the importance of community engagement and digital mediation.
