On June 29, 2022, the integrated researcher of CeiED, Maria Odete Emygdio da Silva, presented a communication entitled Inclusive Education: the current education paradigm in Portugal, at the event Inclusive Teaching Practices – Creativity and Innovation using technologies of information and communication – PIECIT Our Inclusive Schools.

PIECIT is a program that integrates inclusive practices of creative and innovative teaching, using information and communication technologies, in schools of inclusive education. This is supported by the Erasmus+ K-A2 programme.

PIECIT is promoted by a partnership between four universities and three elementary schools (6-12 years old) from Spain, Cyprus, Italy and Portugal. It aims to generate different actions that contribute to the recognition and development of inclusive, creative and innovative pedagogical practices, using digital media. The main focus of the project is the creation of a Network of Inclusive Schools, coordinated through a digital platform.
