CeiED researcher João Filipe Matos has been formally invited to join the Strategic Council of SAPIEN – South and Atlantic Pedagogical Innovation & Excellence Network, a Centre of Excellence led by NOVA University Lisbon.

It is with great pride and satisfaction that CeiED – Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development welcomes this appointment, which reinforces the Centre’s commitment to the production of relevant and transformative knowledge in the fields of education and pedagogical innovation.

The invitation was extended by João Sàágua, Rector of NOVA University Lisbon, who highlighted João Filipe Matos’s recognised scientific and academic merit in the field of pedagogical innovation.

This invitation is a recognition of the remarkable academic and professional trajectory of Professor and Researcher João Filipe Matos in the field of education, as well as a clear sign of the importance of incorporating experienced external perspectives in shaping the strategic vision of this international consortium dedicated to excellence and innovation in teaching.

Professor João Filipe Matos’s participation will undoubtedly strengthen SAPIEN’s mission, promoting innovative pedagogical practices with meaningful impact on academic communities across the Global South and the Atlantic.
