20 April 2023

The researcher and co-director of Op.Edu, Teresa Teixeira Lopo, was one of the European researchers selected to participate in the POLNET Social Network Analysis, which took place in Barcelona, at the Pompeu Fabra University, between February 28 and March 3.

The POLNET Social Network Analysis is a joint organization of IBEI – Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals, the Universität Konstanz and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The School, which brought together researchers at different stages of their scientific careers and coming from a number of different universities and R&D units in Europe, aims at practical work with programs of Social and Political Network Analysis, including the program DNA (Discourse Network Analysis) that combines qualitative content analysis with network analysis, allowing to investigate discursive strategies in a structured way and over time, and the software Visone, of visual creation and data representation of these networks.

The researcher takes, thus, another step in the strengthening of her methodological skills in networks and discourse analysis on education policies, themes of the post-doctoral project she is preparing to submit to international funding.
